Mazda Sway Bar Link

The Mazda sway bar link is the connector from the lower control arm to the sway bar. It is part of the vehicle’s suspension system that provides a sturdy connection for the sway bar. The sway bar or also called as the stabilizer is the device that connects both wheels together via short lever arms coupled by a torsion spring. It is employed to increase the suspension’s roll stiffness, which is the resistance to spin in turns, independent of its spring rate in the vertical direction. This is made of spring steel located to the frame or unibody. Along with the sway bar link, both are useful for reducing the vehicle’s lean, especially during cornering.
Mazda Sway Bar LinkFor added automobile stability, the Mazda sway bar links are designed to provide a secured and strong linkage from the lower control arm and to the sway bar. Whenever the wheels move up and down, as it runs through irregular road surface, the sway bar transmits the motion to the other wheel. This allows a more level ride and minimizes vehicle sway. Specifically, it resists the roll of the vehicle’s suspension as it corners. Some vehicles are outfitted with sway bars in order for the chassis to stay solid against front end roll and sway on turns.
The Mazda sway bar link helps the sway bar in controlling the centrifugal tendency that tends to force a rising stroke on the vehicle’s side and towards the inside of the turn. As the vehicle turns and starts to lean over, the sway bar implements an upward force on the outer wheel to lift on the inner wheel so that the vehicle moves more level as well as providing a more balanced traction. During hard cornering, too much pressure applied on the sway bar links can result to its demise. Also, because of its constant strain in keeping a stable connection for the sway bar, over time, its wear will gradually appear.
Your vehicle’s steering and suspension system, including the sway bar links, sway bar, and bushings should be inspected regularly. It must be maintained at regular service intervals along with a complete wheel alignment. Damaged Mazda sway bar links and missing bushings can lead to excessive leaning when making turns or when hitting bumps and potholes, a metallic rattling noise can be created underneath the vehicle. Seek a professional help to assist you in all your steering and suspension problems.
There are lots of Mazda sway bar link options available at auto stores and even all other Mazda auto parts. To further benefit from your vehicle’s steering and suspension system, it is always best to be equipped with the right parts that are solely designed for your vehicle. The Mazda sway bar links can perfectly go and function in your suspension. This will provide you optimum cornering and handling. These are made from high-grade materials, providing you their long-term durability, efficiency, and life.
